I booked for 2 nights for our honeymoon and wanted the accommodation to be perfect…I had never been there before and wasn’t sure what to expect but when we got there…WOW!! We wished we could have stayed there longer! The place was modern, clean, safe and quiet with awesome views and had all the facilities we needed. Looking out over the pool with the palm trees felt like we were in Mauritius.

It was so relaxing and our hosts Filip and Pricilla couldn’t have been nicer people and went out of their way to make our stay a memorable one. They are warm and friendly people and we left feeling like we had made 2 new friends. I would definitely recommend Seashelles and would return in a heartbeat. Two thumbs up!!

Seashelles is well located in a quiet part of Umhlanga with a very nice (close) view of the ocean. Our appartment was perfect for a 4 weeks stay; well equipped with everything you would look for. The atmosphere feels good. Most important are Priscilla and Filip, they made us feel very welcome and were extremely helpfull when needed. When we will visit Umhlanga again there will be no question about where to stay!

Since we discovered this little piece of heaven some 12 years ago, we have come back to spend up to 2 months every January / March, and hope to continue this practice, for the foreseeable future.
Both Filip and Priscilla have from our first visit, done everything to make each year more special.
Our location, though a short distance from the ” village ” of uMhlanga, is quiet and situated amidst the hi- end of the residential area.
The exclusive use of the family’s pool is very welcome on those hot February days.
Both John and myself could not recommend ” Seashelles ” more highly.
Some 7 years ago, 2 of our sons came to visit us, and still talk about their holiday, hoping to bring their now wives and children to meet the Engelen family.

“A gem of a place”
This was my eighth year to stay at Seashelles and it continues to delight. The welcome and the attention to detail of the hosts are second to none. Waking up to look out at the sea as if on an ocean liner is fabulous. The accommodation is spacious, airy and very comfortable and the neighbourhood quiet. It is a ten minute walk to the start of the 2.3k esplanade along the sea front of Umhlanga which is a marvellous amenity.

(Translated by Google) We stayed at the Seashelles Apartment during the Comrades Marathon. The equipment leaves nothing to be desired. Living and sleeping area tastefully designed, the kitchen contains everything necessary. The outdoor area with pool is very nice and the sea view already from the bed leaves immediately holiday mood. Everything was very well maintained and clean. The fridge was to our surprise already with fruit juice and mineral water. The bathroom exceptionally large and with bathtub and shower super furnished.
Very good, quiet location. Access to the beach about 400m. The center with many very good restaurants, shopping, the lighthouse with the promenade is 1.2km away, good with Uber or on foot.
Many thanks to Priscilla and Filipp for the great hospitality. We felt very comfortable. Like once again!

Wir waren während des Comrades Marathon im Seashelles Appartement. Die Ausstattung lässt keine Wünsche offen. Wohn- und Schlafbereich geschmackvoll gestaltet, die Küche beinhaltet alles Notwendige. Der Aussenbereich mit Pool ist sehr schön und der Meerblick bereits vom Bett aus lässt sofort Urlaubsstimmung aufkommen. Alles sehr gepflegt und sauber. Der Kühlschrank war zu unserer Überraschung schon mit Fruchtsaft und Mineralwasser ausgestattet. Das Badezimmer aussergewöhnlich gross und mit Badewanne und Dusche super eingerichtet.
Sehr gute, ruhige Lage. Zugang zum Strand ca. 400m. Das Zentrum mit vielen sehr guten Restaurants, Einkaufsmöglichkeiten, der Leuchtturm mit der Promenade ist 1,2km entfernt, gut mit Uber oder auch zu Fuss zu erreichen.
Ganz herzlichen Dank an Priscilla und Filipp für die tolle Gastfreundschaft. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Gern wider einmal!

We really enjoyed staying in this comfortable and well located apartment. Whilst enjoying the pool and patio the view of the blue ocean is wonderful . Tha apartment is well appointed and very clean. It is close to good shops, restaurants and beautiful golf courses.The owners are very friendly and obliging. Can highly recommend this apartment.

Excellent facilities and a great view made my stay very comfortable and enjoyable.

Schön eingerichtet, tolle Mitarbeiter, traumhafte Aussicht auf das Meer, sehr sauber, ideale Lage unweit vom Zentrum von Umhlanga, wo es mehrere sehr gute Restaurants gibt und auch mehrere Supermärkte. Die Gastgeber Priscilla und Philippe sind äusserst nett und hilfsbereit. Wir fühlten uns sehr wohl und werden ganz sicher wieder zurückkehren. Beautifully furnished, great staff, wonderful views of the sea, very clean, conveniently located close to the center of Umhlanga, where there are several very good restaurants and several supermarkets. The hosts Priscilla and Philippe are very nice and helpful. We felt very comfortable and will go back again for sure.

Back in the UK after a wonderful holiday, lots of photos to remind us of your country and memories to share with friends. We completed our stay with a spell at Champagne Castle where we were able to attend a performance by the Drakensberg boys choir (an unexpected bonus) Alan joins me in sending our thanks for your contribution in making this such a memorable occasion with your willingness to help organise our tours. Many thanks also to Filip for the airport pickup. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Seashelles and thought Umhlanga was a good choice being ideally positioned for safety and tranquility. Wonderful Place. Owners were extremely helpful and helped with the move in. They really made me and my friends feel at home. Facicilites are great and the location of the apartment is perfect. I would recommend Seashelles to anyone looking for a place to stay in Umhlanga, this place ticks all the boxes. Thank you Priscilla and Filip for the lovely service !

Hi Prisclla, I am back at work after a wonderful holiday at your place. I loved every minute of our stay there, it honestly felt like I was staying in some paradise island especially at night with the palm trees and the lights around the pool. The sea view is stunning and was just the cherry on top. Both yourself and your family were wonderful hosts and really provided us with total privacy but yet making yourselves available for whatever we needed. I told you before I left that it is by far the best place I have stayed so far and that it really felt like a home away from home. Your cleaner ladies also deserve a hands up as the flat was always clean and fresh towels available and they were very professional and kind.
I really wish I was still there !!!!! Thank you once again for a fabulous holiday!!!!

This was a great stay. Hosts were absoluty nice, warm , helpfull, welcome. The appartement are beautifull and well equiped and very clean. I forgot to mention the beautfull view on the sea. what esle … we loved it !

Firstly the very warm welcome we received from the owners. Then when we entered the apartment my girlfriend was presented with a lovely bouquet of flowers and chocolates for her birthday, really nice touch. The apartment was tastefully decorated with all the necessary equipment. The private veranda overlooking a beautiful pool with jacuzzi. The apartment has beautiful uninterupted seaviews. The area is very quiet & relaxing, just right for a romantic getaway. Would definitely go back.

We were warmly welcomed when we arrived, and the hosts even helped us up the stairs with our suitcases. The apartment is spacious and ample for 2-3 people. There is daily maid service. We enjoyed eating on the terrace looking out at and hearing the sea.

Filip and Prescilla are the perfect hosts. As we got there we were greeted with options on what would be best for us and they really catered for our needs before we thought we would actually need them. They both also gave us the privacy we were looking for and the unit we stayed in was cleaned when ever we were out. The location was perfect for us. It is situated between La Lucia and Umhlanga (about 2km either side) so it close to restaurants, bars and all the major retail shops but also just far enough to feel like you were in a more secluded area further up the coast. We were only 15 minutes drive to Durban central and all the tourist hot spots in DBN and 20 minutes exactly from King Shaka airport. All of thi conveniences was added to by the ocean views and magical sunrises over each morning. Perfect for couples or families of three.

I want to say that I had a really great time saying in this apartment. It is exactly as you see in the photos, with the exception that the view is even better in person. The apartment was very comfortable, clean and had everything I needed, and folio made me feel very welcome. Location wise it is a little bit out of the main tourist area which was really great for me to be able to relax away from the crowds, but it was close enough (5 minute drive away) from the nearest swimming beach, the main centre for shopping and restaurants, and 10 minutes from a gateway when you wanted to get more of the vibe. The driveway was a bit tight and the steep hill gave me a few stressful moments when reversing out of the gate, but overall wasn’t too much of an issue, especially as I was driving a small car. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and would recommend to those looking for a place to relax with great views, a great location just slightly away from the crowds, and a well cared for apartment.

The apartment is exactly as described and shown in the photos. Very neat and clean and has the essentials required for a comfortable stay. The location is central and in close proximity to the Umhlanga Rocks town center and the main beach. The hosts (Filip and Priscilla) were very welcoming. We went out for dinner one evening and when we arrived back at the apartment it was raining and we found that Filip had thoughtfully left an umbrella outside. Overall an enjoyable stay and would recommend this rental.

Pilip and Pricilla were super host. We had wonderful meet&greet. The flat was very spacious and had everything what we needed. From terrace you could watch hours the rolling waves and beautiful shore break. The endless beach was just 3min walk away and Umhlanga center 10min walk away with restaurants & supermarkets.

We had a great stay at The seashells and Filip and his wife was very welcoming. Beautiful place!

Filip was very welcoming and helpful but left us to our privacy for the trip. The apartment was exactly as described and as per the photos. My only complaint is that I would have liked to stay longer! It is a lovely apartment for holiday at the coast.

Top place really love the atmosphere came from Manchester needed a bit of me time n this place was the best option seashells is really brilliant n not even 5 minutes from the beach 🌊 the owner Priscilla is very friendly n a very good host I went a couple of months ago now I’m going back the rooms r quiet neat n comfortable just love it will be returning all the time super place not an exaggeration well worth the stay 👍Oh yes she does have wifi can’t live without my wifi 😂 👍👌
